Hobby Lobby, Erin Condren Planner & What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Well yesterday on my travels I went into a Hobby Lobby! It is the first time that I have ever been in one. Let me tell you I was completely overwhelmed! I bought a corner rounder for photos but nothing else! I will have to go back again when I have more time to walk around and peruse the whole store. They had Christmas stuff out!! To early for me, but I know many people get going on thier Christmas crafts now.  If you have never been in Hobby Lobby make sure you have tons of time when you go in. It is bigger than Joanne's and seems to have more stuff!

How do I plan? Typically my skeleton planner is on the computer. Then I write in details after printing. Hmmmmmm Well this last year in Title 1 we had to be quite detailed since the majority of the year we had to plan our own lessons!!! It was almost like I was in college again writing lesson plans for classes! Then 1/2 way through the year we got this AWESOME program for math called Number Worlds! This year I will be able to use a normal lesson planning format then have an anecdotal recording form. I love how the Erin Condren planners look.

Number World's
They are not paying me to say this but the program rocks! In our district we use Everyday Math, as we know this program isn't for every child. Some children need more time to master a concept before moving on. Well that is where Number Worlds comes in. You teacher a subject for 4-5 weeks and the kids will typically have mastery at the end of the unit. It is a very vocabulary intensive program! Which we found many of the children lacked  math vocabulary knowledge.
